5 Time Management Sales Skills You Must Know

timemanagement1Many great sales people limit their success because they have not developed good time management sales skills. While it’s always important to improve and develop new sales techniques, if we don’t keep an eye on our daily activities and priorities, we’ll lose sales. As part of you’re regular sales training exercises, consider the following 5 time management techniques…

1) Lists – at the beginning of each day make a list of the most important things you need to do for that day (start with 5 or 6 things)

2) Prioritize – prioritize your list and work them through to completion, checking them off as you go

3) Focus – stay focused on the task at hand – do only one at a time

4) Don’t Procrastinate – do the most uncomfortable tasks first then move on to the fun stuff

5) Trust the Process – don’t panic if you do not complete your entire list. Creating new habits takes time. You’ll get more efficient with practice

Trust the sales training process. Try new things – especially if they make you uncomfortable, as this is a sign that you may need to step out of your comfort zone. Finally, it takes 21 days to develop a new habit so don’t be so quick to quit, and make sure any habit you develop is a good one for your sales success.
